電話のみ使えるフレーズ。「少しお待ちください」と同じような感覚で使います。
「お待ちいただきありがとうございます。」は英語で ‘Thank you for waiting.’ です。’Thank you for holding the line.’ とは言いません。
The operator told me to ‘hold the line’. I’ve been waiting for 2 hours!
